The Carol Brass 3000 series pocket trumpets are a bit of an enigma. They sound exactly like a standard professional Bb trumpet, and behind the horn you would never know the difference either. These pockets PLAY.

Ten years ago I was in the market for a pocket trumpet, so I visited the Carol Brass factory in Taiwan. Out of all the pocket trumpets I played, I landed on the this model in silver plate with the 3.7" bell option. Perhaps my new horn was a one-off at the time and I got lucky, because this model sounds the way a true pocket trumpet ought to sound. That is - not like a standard trumpet; I have plenty of those at home!

Ten years later, I'm honored to present my favorite pocket trumpet on the planet here for you. I requested silver plate again, because unlike lacquer - silver presents the finest performance quality a horn with such tight wrapping as this has. Lacquered pocket trumpets sound and perform dull to me, and that's no fun. This horn screams FUN, and in honest is a dramatic improvement over the one I own. A true testament to the continuous ingenuity and passion from my friends at Carol Brass.
